2007 NGG Members' Christmas Dinner Highlights Achivements and Leadership Changes
Members of the Next Generation Group and their guests recently celebrated Christmas and the year's achievements at a holiday dinner at Frenchy's Bistro, one of Long Beach's most popular eateries, on Sunday, December 16, 2007. Attendees chowed mainly on the signature dish of the restaurant: the lamp shank.

New Leadership
The dinner also was the occasion for a transition of leadership within the NGG. The new NGG president-elect is Janice Ng, succeeding outgoing president Lance Eng, who served between 2005-2007. Janice is an original member of the NGG Board of Directors and currently serves as secretary. "It has been an absolute pleasure to have been your NGG President for the past two years," stated Lance. "We have come a long way, and there is still room to grow. I am proud to announce the election of Janice as your new NGG President for 2008-2009. She is a wonderful person with great ideas and conviction. She will lead a fantastic board, and will make great strides for our Association."

"Thank you Lance for doing an absolutely wonderful job as the NGG president for the past two years," said Janice. "He is always organized, positive and possesses a can-do attitude. I truely enjoy our friendships and brother/sister-hood. I'm excited to be the incoming president for NGG and also look forward to a 2008 filled with fun and growth in our friendships."
New NGG Board members were elected that evening: Cynthia Wu replaces Alex Eng as treasurer. Alex becomes a co-vice president. Serena Ng trades her co-vice presidency for the office of secretary. Wayne Ng retains his position as co-vice president.

One of Janice's first action items is to schedule a meeting date in January in order to finalize the activity calendar and organizational goals for 2008. She has created a member survey to help her and the Board in this development.
Thanks to Cynthia Wu for the photos.
