Eng Family World Convention

Your fervent support and participation is called upon to make the 8th World Eng Convention an event to remember! The 7th World Eng Convention (see review) held in Taishan City in October 2004 was a resounding success. More than 700 Eng Family members gathered to renew family ties and revel in the spirit of kinship and camaraderie.
The 2007 Convention schedule is:
- Friday, October 26: Registration
- Saturday, October 27: Opening Ceremony (A.M.); Conference (P.M.)
- Sunday, October 28: Ancestral Homage Ceremony
- Monday, October 29: Adjournment after breakfast
After the Convention closes, three deluxe tours of different destinations have been arranged: the five Eastern Chinese Cities Tour (Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Shanghai, and Hangzhou); the Guilin-Kunming-Dali Tour; and the Hainan Island Tour. Please download the tour information sheets for the itineraries and prices (Format: Adobe Acrobat; File size: 1.15 Mb). You are encouraged to participate in these tours. Contact your local chapter to sign up and pay at the time of registration upon your arrival at the Convention. The L.A. Chapter office is located at 418 Cottage Home, Los Angeles CA 90012. The cost for attendees from the United States is $200 (U.S.) per person. The fee will be waived for contributions more than $300 (U.S.) per individual. The cost does not include overseas transportation. Attendees must make their own flight arrangements.
2007 Eng Family Scholarship Awards Application
The application form for the Scholarship Awards is included in the information about the Eng World Convention for download. Deadline for applications is Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Recipients will be presented at the Eng Family Association monthly meeting, Sunday, September 9, at 418 Cottage Home, Los Angeles CA 90012.
