Wong Family Association Visitors, September 1 and 2, 2008

To my fellow members of the Eng Family Association:

I received an invitation from Mr. Wong Wai Chun, the current President of the Wong Family Association, sometime last week. The Wongs' are going to welcome the out-of-town guests and would like us to join them for their welcoming party scheduled for September 1 & 2, 2008 as follows:

• The out-of-town guests from the Wong Family Association are going to arrive here at Los Angeles on Monday, September 1, 2008. They invite us for dinner during the evening of September 1, 2008 at the Golden Dragon Restaurant in Chinatown. The banquet starts at 6:30pm.

• The Wongs' are going to visit the the Eng Family Association tentatively between 10:30am and 11:00am on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. The exact time for their arrival has not yet set in stone, but will be further apprised of the exact time by Mr. Wong Wai Chun upon his future instructions and advisement. We need to have enough people there to give them a warm welcome. Please let me know which of you guys can stay at the Association to welcome the Wongs' forthcoming visit at our Association.

Pallbearers Needed

One of the Eng Family Association's most dedicated members (since the Association's conception) and a strong contributors over the years, Uncle Yee Fun Ng, recently passed away; he was 90+ years of age. A memorial service is set for Saturday, July 26, 2008, at 1:00pm at the Chung Wah Funeral Home, located at 2730 N. Broadway, Los Angeles in the Lincoln Heights district. His family has asked the Association to assist them at the memorial/burial service during this period of mourning; They are in need of three or more able bodies to perform as pallbearers that afternoon. There usually will be a post-memorial luncheon for all attendees to the funeral. The Association is appealing to NGG members to volunteer their strength and support, as well as to pay their respects to one of the Association's longtime brothers/uncles. Please let me know Ben Ng if you are able to help.
