Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon 2010 and Nominations of 2011 Officers
The Eng Family Benevolent Association of Los Angeles' annual Thanksgiving Luncheon was held on November 14, 2010, at the Association Headquarters at 418 Cottage Home, Los Angeles. More than 70 Engs/Ngs/Wus and Wongs attended and enjoyed a sumptuous lunch with plenty of turkey and trimmings prepared by the Next Generation Group (NGG) and the Association's Women’s Auxiliary (see photos below). Also present were honored guests the Director General Gung and his accompanying officials from the Taipei Economic & Cultural Affairs Office at Los Angeles, as well as beloved brother, the 49th District State Assemblymember Mike Eng.
Immediately following the Thanksgiving lunch, members stayed for the monthly meeting to nominate next year’s slate of Association officers. After much debate and discussion, the nominations were successfully completed. Following are the individuals nominated for the various positions:
- President: Beverly Yu, Vice-Presidents (two): Lance Eng and Richard Ng
- Women’s Auxiliary: Helen Eng (Chair), Nancy Lew (Vice-Chair)
- Chinese Secretary: Fai Kwong, Zhuo Bang (Assistant)
- English Secretary: Richard Ng, Nancy Ng (Assistant)
All other current officers were re-nominated and are not repeated here.
The above nominees must be affirmed and voted into office by members at the December monthly meeting. Please attend this important meeting on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Lunch wo be served at 12 Noon, meeting to start at 1:00pm.
